Crash Bandicoot sold millions last year. The sequel
is scheduled now for a November 4 release. It seems to be one of Sony's main titles this
year, but I doubt it will be as important as the original. If you can remember the situation last year, Crash Bandicoot was Sony's answer to Mario 64 and Nights. The graphics of Crash B was totally revolutionary, even today, it is still one of the best looking around. But this year, the console war is more or less over, and Sony has plenty of other brilliant title to show off with (especially FFVII). However, it is still interesting to see how Crash 2 will be. Maybe the guys at Naughty Dog can even squeeze more out of the PlayStation, you never know. So far, the sequel's visuals don't look too much different from the original. It is said that it will feature at least 30 levels and twice the size of the original's terrain area. You have slightly more freedom, as you can choose different paths to progress in the game. Crash is given many new moves and abilities. The loading time is be shortened too. In Crash 2, your enemy is Dr. Neo Cortex again. Together with his companions, he is once again a threat to earth. You must guide Crash through levels after levels to stop the mad scientist (talk about clichs... ) |
